As a woman who more or less made the deliberate choice not to marry or have children (thank you law school, thank you major depressive disorder, thank you autism spectrum, thank you asexuality), this kind of crap annoys the fucking living daylights out of me. This asshat, JD Vance, doesn’t have a clue as to what I can do because I am unmarried and childless. I am actually able to assist my unmarried, childless brother in caring for our elderly mom. I’m in a better position to swap out with my coworkers who have children and want to go to their kids’ events.

I frankly want to strangle JD Vance, but this is the deal—this is the same thing so many Evangelicals believe as well. If you don’t marry, if you don’t have kids, you’re not a Real Adult. On top of that, there’s a whole belief especially put on women that we failed as women because we didn’t marry and pop out children, which is our only role in this world. FUCK THAT NOISE.

JD Vance is a horrible person. I can’t decide who I hate the worst of the GOP Senatorial candidates, him or Josh Mandel. /sorry not sorry for the rant, I was yanked out of bed at 03:55 PT this morning for on call and am now going to MAYBE get 90 minutes of not thinking about anything before checking back into work.
