This argument was made for the infrastructure bill and the ACA.
I totally get it, it’s not any major change in anything. But it’s a change. It just signaled that gun laws can be passed. And Republicans know it as well, which is why people like Greitens (?sp) decided they could threaten other Republicans.
I’m sure Shannon Watts and BrooklynDadDefiant know that this isn’t going to change a whole lot in absolute terms. But it’s passage is a milestone. How many school massacres couldn’t get any bill through?
We can either argue that it’s an ineffective bill, or we can argue that we can do something about our gun problem. Remember what running away from the ACA did to Republicans?
