I have done my Mother’s Day duties of wishing my mother, my mother-in-law, and my surviving grandma a happy Mother’s Day. I extend that too to all the ladies here who have been a mom, whether by birth, adoption, or through mentoring a child through some of life’s rough patches.

Yes, my mother has a sad because this is the 2nd year now that we will have a Mother’s Day without either of the matriarchs of her families. Well, I can’t say that, exactly - SHE is now the matriarch of the family, and that kind of stings a little bit to her. How are you doing?
