Is it just me, or are these kinds of becoming too regular occurences on your side of the pond?

They’re becoming too regular. And they’re being done by idiots who are doing their cause more harm than good. There is no reason for anyone anywhere to go grocery shopping or whatever with a long gun openly strapped to their body. This isn’t Somalia, for fuck’s sake.

I’ve seen the open carry morons here in Austin walking around with their flags and their AR-15s strapped to their bodies. They look like tools. And none of them can offer a logical explanation for why they need their penis extension on full display for the rest of us to see. What are they going to do if someone mugs them? Open fire on a public street with a high powered rifle? There’s no guarantee that whoever they’re aiming at will stand still, or that their body would stop the bullet. If they hit anyone else, it’s on them.

If you want to protect yourself and you feel the need to have a gun, get a concealed carry license. Open carry is just stupid.
