Part of that may come from health departments’ reports on people who die from Covid-19.
It’s important to know there are certain risk factors which could increase your chances of contracting the disease and dying from it. That said, when you keep getting reports which say something like
The latest reported death was in [county], a woman in her eighties who had comorbidities
with each health department noting “comorbidities” over and over again in reports, folks want to latch onto those rather than the actual cause of death (the disease).
