True optimism isn’t seeing only the good side of things. True optimism is seeing both the good and bad side of things, and knowing that you can handle either one.

Trying to handle things out of your control is pointless, anyway.

When it comes to the “Glass half empty or half full”, I just thank God I have a glass at all.
