Any military wonks here? Someone on SA made a point about the F-35, and don’t know if he has a correct point:

AAAAAUGH! I forgot how terrible those F-35s are and here you go reminding me! America tends to need those twin engine planes as well since all of our fighting goes on overseas. Literally, over oceans. On account of we’re primarily a maritime power because of our isolation and friendly neighbors. And yet the Navy is supposed to use this single-engine piece of crap!
