4 of 5 voters I spoke with at Trump’s rally here said they agree with his no-Muslims policy. The 5th disagreed, but still supporting Trump.

Why does Trump say what he does? Because he knows the GOP better than they know themselves. He’s got this demographic sown up, and if the other candidates come out against him, they will lose his voters. So their option is to either say something as bad or worse, or risk losing even more ground to him.
