It was alarming to listen to a report this morning on potato farmers in Idaho who support Trump because they believe he is a knowledgeable businessman and that his negotiations will allow them to expand their markets. Someone ( I don’t recall who) even talked about how Trump, after all, is the author of “The Art of the Deal”. I was mentally screaming “How do you not know that he did not write that book at all?” We may really underestimate the true ignorance of the Trump voter — that they overlook his racism because they really believe in the fictional persona of the brilliant business man.

Trump’s racism is a feature, not a bug.
