My child once drew me holding a really big knife. The teacher circled it with a “no”, then, crossed those out when she realized I was also standing in front of a table with a cake on it.

My autistic granddaughter recently drew a picture of a dragon in running shoes and shorts, carrying a giant cookie. She told her mother “That’s you”.
Mother asked “What part is me?”
Answer: “Some days you’re the dragon, some days you’re the cookie.”

We think this is a good thing.
