I work with the government daily. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, on any level of government employment, is that 1. They know their jobs aren’t going anywhere 2. They’re in no rush to be productive or efficient and 3. If an employee isn’t being productive, they won’t fire them- they’ll merely hire 2 more people to do the job that 1 person should do.

It’s insane.
