For example in Los Angeles despite serious training and owning a business that might need to personally move valuables like jewelry and gemstones, nobody who applies gets a CCW permit. if they sue and get one, renewal will be denied after 12 months.

Chuck lives in Fresno County, which is overwhelmingly Republican. The county sheriff is Margaret Mims, who is very pro CCW.

As I pointed out in the previous thread, I can actually get one here in Ventura County, if I wanted one. The PD here has stated their intention to voluntarily comply with the precedent set in Peruta v. San Diego. The only requirement now is a desire for self defense, you don’t have to articulate any real plausible need or good cause.
