Ronald D. Moore (the showrunner for the last season of Star Trek: TNG and season 3 onward of Star Trek: DS9 and a main screenwriter for both series and part of the first series of ST: Voyager) is a big reason why the Battlestar Galactica reboot was, oo the whole, so damned good.

I confess when I heard they were going to reboot ‘Cattlecar’ I thought, “Sheesh. Are there NO new ideas anymore?”

Turns out there were. And multiple Tricia Helfers was a good, new idea.
