Can you take a SINGLE THING that I post and not turn it into a straw-man argument. I am citing one specific instance in history where I believe we should not have taken the action we did. Stop putting words in my mouth god dammit.

To be fair, a large part of your argument also invovled the fact that it was ‘known’ that the Soviet Union was collapsing, hence no reason to make things difficult for them in Afghanistan. That assertion at the least implies, if not directly states, that US actions in opposition to the Soviets was wrong.
