I don’t know. While those numbers suck relative to the general population, there way better than any tech company I have been at, and that includes a government contractor which is basically required to make sure they hire without any regard to age, gender, or ethnicity (as long as they are US citizens).

Part of it is related to the fact that a lot of women don’t particularly want to be in the tech sector; I wonder what the root cause of this is.
