There has never been a Democratic director of the FBI. Republican presidents name Republican FBI directors because of course, and Democratic presidents name Republican FBI directors because of “bipartisanship” bullshit that is only ever applied to Democrats.

Now a Republican president is explicitly looking to make all Federal agencies, including the FBI, into his personal goon squads. IMO it’s time for the intelligence community, including the FBI, to go to war against this lawless president.

They can’t. They conspired to put this guy into office, and they did it for a reason: they agree with him on how to enforce the law against the dusky-skinned and the not-American-enough.
