I’ll just point out that the prosecution is putting on it’s case in chief right now. So they do have some control over the pace of the trial. And from what I’ve read, Ellis is the type of judge that likes to keep things moving at a quicker pace (not completely out of the ordinary). My guess is when the defense gets their turn, Ellis is going to crack the whip at them as well.

I hope so. Because it really looks like Ellis is trying to protect Manafort, and by extension Trump, at this point.
