I just scrolled through the comments over at Crazy Pam’s. They’re in a frenzy because one of them talked to customer support and the person had a Muslim sounding name. It’s probably a call center in India.

If it’s call center in India, the support person would have been named ‘Harold’. They all pick these extremely Anglo-sounding names to use online.

I spent three hours on the phone once with a lovely young man who told me his name was ‘Constantine’. I sort of felt that after hour two it might have been reasonable for him to confess to being Ranjit, so we could be on a more honest first-name basis.
