Kim Jong Il is trying to make sure his youngest son succeeds him to power. This may be part of that plan: Revealing Kim Sun Il as the architect of the campaign “that terrified the Imperialists!!1”. Killing innocents to ensure a political succession is lower than shit.

I’m not optimistic at all. Kim Jong Il may very well be around for the next 20 years and his son will probably continue the tradition. China will continue to use them as Fort North Korea since their interest is primarily strategic.
