Some of the countries that didn’t send troops sent money instead (Japan, Brazil…) — we got the job done so quickly and efficiently and cost-effectively, we had to refund the difference. (It would have been unseemly to keep the funds and turn a profit on the operation).

We also didn’t finish the job. Leaving Saddam Hussein in power was a consensus decision, but IMO it was the wrong decision.
