One of the reasons Republicans punch above their weight, one of the main reasons is their ability to tightly focus. Democrats don’t do that — Democrats want to cover ALL the issues, EVERY problem, and it dilutes their effectiveness.

Bruce is correct. Pick one issue — the one that 9th graders can understand, the one that fits on a bumper sticker, the one that makes for 10-second sound bites. Forget nuance. Laser focus on that one issue. Hammer on that issue. In sync.

Isn’t he more or less saying they were wrong to have a “laser” focus solely on the sex assault and leave all the other stuff to the side.
