I don’t have the stats handy, but I think if you look at overall tax burden by income strata, it is remarkably flat. The tax mix changes a lot by income strata, but everyone pays one way or another. Nobody rides free.

Everyone pays some type of tax….sales tax comes to mind. However, half of the taxpayers don’t pay federal income taxes. How fair is that?
