I prefer districts because the interests of urban voters in Chicago are not always the same as those rural voters in western Illinois and Congressional representation ought to reflect that.

Provided it represents their numbers. It is often argued on the Right that “the cities dominate the rural areas”, but since most people live in metro areas, that only makes sense.
