I agree she did not endorse the nirthers, she just ignored the issue purposely, and missed the chance to clear the air with her opinion. IMHO, she remained silent so as to not offend the loons. BTW, not a uncommon tactic on either side, but she still evaded speaking out, and some will take that as a tacit endorsement.

Well, we’ll have to disagree on this one. I think “ignoring” and “missing” and “remaining silent” on the birthers is exactly the right thing to do. Even acknowledging them is lending them more substance than they deserve.
