Saying they were “ro-Nazi” is not the same as calling them Nazis. Buckley was saying they were rooting for people as bad as the Nazis. I think he’d have agreed they were doing so out of ignorance and/or stupidity and the students didn’t actually think that mass murder was a good thing.
