I don’t think it’s anything nearly as competent as a Prateorian Guard. They’re running out flak, but they’re a juggling act trying to keep too many running chainsaws in the air.

They’re starting to come crashing down, and Flynn’s just the first one. Nunes is heading that way. Manafort’s also likely cutting a deal, and the Senate is pushing ahead and taking testimony on the groundwork.

So even though the House is compromised thanks to Nunes, the Senate’s going ahead and the DOJ is moving ahead too. The FBI needs to be held accountable, but the after-action report here has to come after the investigation is done with Trump and his cabal of cronies.
