China has let North Korea , in my words, “their Mad Dog” run free for way too long. It is time that they put a chain on their dog. Will they do it? Only time will tell. But if I had a nuclear capable U.S. Carrier Strike Force heading for my backwaters and diminishing support from the rest of the world I would be trying.

People, I haven’t been an alarmist here. But even I can see a parallel between the N/S Korea Crises and the Cuban missile crises. We are being pushed. The only question is how far will we be pushed and how far are we willing to push back.

I only hope for a JFK respose

JFK and Khrushchev. It was Khrushchev and the Soviets that pulled back under threat of war because of the Cuban missiles. The problem is that there is no “Khrushchev” for North Korea and they are essentially acting on their own. China only uses them as puppet to a limited extent and it’s not like the Cuban-Soviet relationship of 1962.
