I watched the clip again and I’m pretty sure it’s fake. The last thing her father says before the last shot is “wait until he turns broadsides and stops.”. But the fatal shot shown is head on, not broadside.

I noticed that too. Of course, it could be the animal didn’t know what “broadside” means and simply didn’t cooperate.

Setting up a kill for no better reason than you’ve got that scene scripted into your “reality” show for the impact of it, is not sportsmanlike, not one bit.
