People dismiss adultery too easily. “Consenting adults” and all that. That’s fine for singles and open relationships. The consequences of real adultery, families split, home loss, damage to the young, mental anguish and the occasional violent murder don’t seem to dissuade many from putting sensation above sense. AFAIK consenting adults would or should have the okay from both spouses. The consequences are felt by the whole family or families involved.

Note the focus on his career with guns and little mention of his actions with anothers wife. The guns are bad and the affair okay? Gimme a break, that’s just stupid. And telling.

Well, you’ve got to remember that the media has their concerns. Focusing on the affair might be seen as overly socially conservative or ‘prudish’, whereas focusing on ‘evil guns’ fits the media tone of the current moment.

Note: Story focus like that is why many pro-gun people hate the mainstream media. Right-wing criticism of the MSM does have some basis in fact.
