On the one hand, I respect Ahnold for speaking up about the very obvious problem with the party and his disagreement with it.

One the other, it still puzzles the fuck out of me how party members who recognize the very real collapse of any bit of sanity with the party ranks decide that the best course of action is to continue supporting the party.

It’s just a gang mentality. They’ve been part of it so long that they can’t imagine themselves on the outside.

I don’t either but I think a lot of them like Arnold and Frum think they can fix it.

They’re not that stupid, they’re just cowards, afraid of being on their own. They love the idea of belonging to the group. This is how they derive their sense of self identity and pride.
