Why would you have to assume that? What is the invited inference here? Democrats and independents bought guns before Obama’s election, they presumably still do so. The question is not who is buying guns at all, but who is fueling this hysteria-driven increase in gun sales.

The inference here is the silly notion that some of the right wing gun nuts are apparently don’t give much thought to the fact that if they do decide to partake in some kind of armed insurrection, their opposition can and WILL shoot back.

Some of them act like God fearing Republicans are the only ones who have the right to own guns.
