Rationalisations about why “my Thanksgiving dinner is different” or “no one in my pod” (an idea originally floated by libertarians so it is bad by default) would bring it in, is not worth spending time on a ventilator over Christmas.

There will be other Thanksgivings.

Actually, we call them bubbles in California, the group of no more than (I think) 12 people who socialize together, and the idea was developed by the health department — not a group of libertarians by any means. Being in the same bubble doesn’t mean eating together, however, which, as we know, is about the most dangerous thing you can do.
