Yeah, well it will only get much much worse if things are not done to avoid climate change.

Here is the short form future of Texas.

1. It gets a lot hotter for a lot longer and crops fail as it rains less instate and rivers dry up.

2. Cattle that depend on that water and the plants they eat quickly go away in a tragedy of the commons as people try to hold on to their ranch at the expense of others.

3. Mexico gets devastated at a faster rate and you face hundreds of thousands of starving and desperate refugees. It will make the current immigrant situation look like a little trickle. They will not come unarmed either since they really have no choice.

4. Your state economy gets completely destroyed when places like Galveston and Houston are flooded out.

5. Texan refugees head north where people in those states treat you like you treated the Mexicans.

I get all that, but it doesn’t mean I have to take enjoyment out of what people are going through now.
