I believe you are correct. They have banned all mechanical devices in the wilderness, they keep expanding the designated wilderness and the “roadless area” around it, just one more step to banning people. Right now if you can walk, carrying all your food and equipment, you are allowed in.

Maddening. And I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that “equipment” they’re talking about doesn’t include a rifle. If so, carrying in your “food” makes you nothing more than a vending machine for the “inhabitants”.
