I think you’re probably right. That’s basically the purpose of franking for senators and congressmen - to provide postage for those annoying letters they send out. As I said earlier, if the approach morphs into a call for civic unrest or intimidation, however, I’d find that unacceptable.

Since I’m on that e-mail list, I promise to give you a heads up if that happens. I’m not motivated enough to go door to door, but I do know the basic rules for those that do. It goes something like “I’m helping the POTUS bring the change voters asked for. Would you be interesting in learning more and perhaps share your idea’s with the administration ?”
