We had a bear in a park 4 blocks from my house. I’m 8 miles from downtown Seattle, solid suburbs for miles.

Within Anchorage there is a huge moose population - and clear distinctions between - city moose and country moose behaviors.

An occasional bear wanders into DT Anchorage from time to time - it’s expected.
