It’ll pass. Just like SS passed. it’ll pass in a limited form and then be added to with reconciliation and future bills over time. And in ten or twenty years it’ll be something that Americans take for granted.

I’m not sure why you’re so confident. Every day there is some new chaos involving congressional Dems. They just don’t have the single-minded (or mindless, if you prefer) discipline of the GOP.

For example, try to imagine the GOP leadership held back by the internal dissent of its liberal pro-choice wing threatening to kill big legislation. Hard to imagine because it doesn’t happen in the GOP, but it’s what the Dems face now.
