Happy Thanksgiving everyone…
Did a ham for my wife’s first American Thanksgiving cuz we’re not a big fan of turkey. (Although I do a great brined turkey… but it’s still..uh… turkey.)I’m not a big fan of ham either, but we put a 10 pound shank in a cooking bag and poured in some cola, pineapple juice, and orange juice. Cooked it for 3.5 hours at 250 degrees. We removed the bag, and smeared that bad boy with a honey brown sugar mixture, broiling it until carmaly bubbly (for about 10 minutes). I didn’t need my usual horseradish cream sauce. It was the best ham I ever had.
