re: #151 GunstarGreen

Not everyone who sees me knows I’m an IT manager. Granted, I don’t do it on film, but it’s not obvious. The woman next to me on the train may be a programmer, a secretary, a nurse, a doctor, a lawyer, or a porn actress (or a thousand other things). And while I understand your point, pornography really is a fairly anonymous industry.

How many sex workers to you know? How many professional sex workers would you recognize on the street? Would it change your opinion of a person you saw regularly because you had similar commute schedules if you knew they were having sex in front of a camera while you were on conference calls?

Our experiences are all individual. Unless someone is a public figure and generally recognized then any divulgence of what they do in their personal life is a form of outing…and even those people (the Obamas for example) deserve to have some level of privacy.
