He fully thought he could get away with it. That is Trump.

Plus, he really isn’t all that smart. I think that is obvious.

So far he certainly seems to be that smart. Everyone in the GOP is either retiring or paying him obeisance. His fans continue to worship him. We are seriously underestimating him if we really continue to call him a moron. His supporters may be racist morons — but he’s just racist and not a moron.
