First purrs. Mindy has accepted me and seems to be a lap cat. Mork is still afraid of me.

Takes time depending on cat. Chat Noir was hanging out next to me within a few days and never really became a lap cat. Tuxedo Cat was aloof for much longer and then suddenly “discovered” the lap concept a few years later and started using the human pillow on a regular basis after that. Floof Cat was also aloof, but has become much more lap cat once she was the sole cat in the house.
