The Chinese government is trying to replace Windows with a home-grown (modified) version of Red Hat Fedora Linux.

I predict China’s computer users will reject this ham-handed attempt of the government to “harmonize” their computers.

Hopefully China’s president is being told this while he’s visiting tech people in Seattle and Tacoma. He needs to be warned about the limits of central decision making, not because we want to crow about “We’re better!”, but instead because this sort of plan is unwise, impractical, and unlikely to work.
