So much modern music is an amalgamation of all forms of music it really is hard to draw distinct lines in Rock’n’Roll anyway. So…

Hip-Hop has used pieces and parts of a lot of it all. The Beasties being probably one of the clearest examples. Then there was Led Zep…and many blues artists borrowed and changed. Even folk artists passed around traditional songs and modified.

I can’t get excited about what is and isn’t rock and roll. The implicit definition I grew up with (as evidenced by what radio stations played) was that anything that wasn’t country or classical was rock and roll.
