You can also use your power wiring as an Ethernet network, presumably by using the 60 Hz alternating current as a carrier wave of some sort. I’ve never looked at the technical details.
I ran that to my back garage, didn’t want to dig in CATx. It’s been through a few generations and mine may not be the latest but it is fast enough to stream HD youtubes. It has more bandwidth than my ISP gives me at any rate.
