Agreed. But the Independent doesn’t like McDonald’s (MCD) that much (given their past reporting that seems clear) so they took the story and used to go after MCD’s. Fox News does the same sort of thing.

Yeah, McDonalds is often seen as a symbol of American cultural imperialism. It’s wise to take the rumor with a grain of salt.
