This is another one of those things where its less about actually doing the thing—repackaging Trump—as it is saying that its happening because it provides minimal deniability.

This is one of the places our media fails us. They won’t push back against this kind of claim, they’ll roll with it because it increases the horse-race narrative of politics, and because it’s easier to mainstream Trump than to keep asking questions about what it means that his earlier act sold well with certain people (the GOP base).
