I think that video solves another mystery. In the original Chanel 4 segment the scene on the couch at home was before they took him to the hospital. In the CNN segment is was after they took him to the hospital. This new version also places the scenes at home after the hospital.

Agreed. I think those scenes with the couches could have been shot in someone’s home, or possibly in a hospital lounge or waiting area. Either way, it does now appear that they actually took place after Mahmoud’s death, not before he went to the hospital.

There’s another mystery that may be solved by the new documentary. CNN showed scenes of Mahmoud’s burial, where women were present. One LGF member (I forget who, sorry) pointed out that women would not be allowed to attend a Muslim burial. But in the documentary, we can see that women are present as the family gathers at the cemetery (note the man taping the event with his cellphone camera — isn’t that a little weird?), but no women are visible while Mahmoud is actually being lowered into the grave.
