I hear ya but I just can’t imagine how that would go over with a Republican base that already mistrusts its leadership immensely.

run a congressional campaign w a lead weight tied to your leg that advocates policies antithetical to your funders, or nominate someone who half the party will regard as a sellout and wont get elected but who helps downticket races by being respectable and consonant w party philosophy?
