It wouldn’t be treason. Yes, they could end up in jail, but it could easily turn out to be like the release of the Pentagon papers.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

And because the NYT/WaPo established precedent by prevailing in court over publication of the Pentagon Papers, that would automatically give cover to any self-respecting media outlet.

The question is, would the media want to run the report? Or does some obscure website publish it and upstage them?
