You have several excellent points in your comment, but I would like to talk about this:

I was thinking one day, that someone should invent a wheelchair that could raise the seat so the chair-driver’s head was at the same height as those of standing people. About a month later, one rolled up to the counter of the deli I worked at. After serving the young man, I came around the counter to admire his chair, and I told him I had just thought there should be such a chair, ‘and here you are!’ He said it was working well, it was very expensive, and he had very good insurance.

It would raise hydraulically.

He’ll need to be mindful of the height when the chair is in motion. Higher center of gravity means he’s more likely to tip while moving. I hope he lowers the chair while traveling from place to place.
